When Fred MacLennan of E.I.C. Associates Inc. of Springfield, NJ needed a more powerful vibro to install AZ box piles he contacted APE northeast. An APE model 200 vibro set up with a caisson beam and clamps with a model 625 power unit was sent to the site, where it out performed the competitor’s machine.

The Minish Park Project along the Passaic Riverfront in Newark NJ is part of a massive undertaking to rebuild the long neglected banks of the river for recreation and commerce.

When Ed Waters & Sons found themselves in the market for a vibratory hammer, they called American Piledriving Equipment. Having already purchased an A.P.E. D-19, they were used to our quality, and service, which has been an important factor in the many successful projects Ed Waters & Sons is so well known for.
The A.P.E. Model 50 Vibratory Hammer was deliverd on site in Orlando, Florida ready for work. There was some concern among the Pilebucks when it arrived, seems they were expecting something “bigger”. The Model 50 had no trouble driving the 50ft. sheets of PZ-27 in pairs. All doubts were quickly resolved by “the best little hammer” in the industry.

“Waterfront Marine” a Virginia Beach VA. based contractor has their work cut out for themselves for the next few months. They have just started driving 1000 – 1,200 14″ & 12″ concrete prestressed piles in the 3rd phase of Virginia Beaches new “Town Center Plaza” This facility will house some of the finest stores, shops, and restaurants in the area. This phase will include some of the most expensive condos and apartments. The picture shows them driving the elevator shaft foundation with their brand new A.P.E. D-19-42 diesel impact hammer. We wish them a safe and productive job!

North Wind has devised a method to remove buried radioactive waste by using a specially design casing with jetting tubes inside it. Using an APE Model 400 driver/extractor the casing is vibrated over the waste and jetted with a special epoxy that hardens when it comes in contact with water. Once the bottom is sealed, the top is sealed with concrete and then extracted with the vibro.

This new method greatly reduces the cost of retrieving radioactive waste for proper storage. The next phase of this procedure will take place in the “hot zone”

When Golden State Bridge of Northern California landed a job to drive 115′ long 67″ pipe pile in Morro Bay California, they called APE! Why? Because APE has the equipment and the knowledge to get the job done!
Using a APE 300 vibro to set these pile weighing 50 tons, Golden State Bridge followed it up with APE model D100-13 Diesel hammer to drive them home!
“This was a great combination on this project and it was just what Dr. APE ordered to make our project a success.” Along with 24″ pipe pile for the trestle pile and some 24″ pipe pile for the abutment pile driven with a D36-32, this was another job well done!
