APE Supports Education
When Local 1026 has a Piledriving School, they call on Frank D’Angelo to get things moving.
When Frank needs dependable equipment backed by reliable service, he calls on A.P.E.
American Piledriving Equipment believes it is very important to take part in the education and training of young Pilebucks. By this investment, we help to insure qulified, well trained personnel continue the Pilebuck trade.
A.P.E. is proud to be the choice of both young and old (i mean “experienced”) Pilebucks everywhere!
“It’s one of those jobs.”
Ed Waters & Sons is one of the most professional and respected contractors in the South. So, if Wayne Waters calls and says “it’s one of those jobs”, you better listen.
When driving criteria, engineering specifications, and job-site conditions don’t come together like they are supposed to (on paper), folks start scratching their heads. This was the case for Ed Waters & Son’s.
The D-19 was driving the piles but getting the blow count and the correct stroke was proving difficult, not to mention hard on the hammer.
The solution: the patented A.P.E. Hydraulic Fuel Pump. The pump allows the operator to adjust the flow of fuel between the standard settings. A good operator (as in this case) can tweek the setting to get an almost perfect finish. In some cases, it is exaclty what stops all the head scratching. Now they are able to drive the piles and easily maintain the required stroke from start to finish
With two D-19’s a D-25, and an A.P.E. Model 50 Vibro working, Ed Waters and Son’s have really gone A.P.E!
Superior Construction Goes Ape Again & Again
What do the 9-A extention, J.T.B. overpass, and the New Beach Blvd. Bridge all have in common? Superior Construction and American Piledriving Equipment!
These projects are underway using an A.P.E. Model 20 Drill, an A.P.E. Model D-36 and two D-62 Diesel pile hammers, an A.P.E. Model 200 Vibro and a J&M Model 416 Vibro. The latest purchase by Superior for these projects as well as the many upcoming jobs are a J&M Model 44-50 Vibro and a new A.P.E. Model D-62 (pictured at the Beach Blvd Bridge).
American Piledriving Equipment is committed to Superior and honored that have chosen to go A.P.E. again & again!
A.P.E. is all over the Port Of Savannah
American Piledriving Equipment is showing up all over one of the busiest ports on the East Coast: The Port Of Savannah.
The latest contractor to call out the A.P.E. arsenal is Cape Romain Contractors. They chose the legendary Model 150-T for the expansion of Berth 8 and the overall enlargement of the port itself.
American Piledriving Equipment is proud to play a role in the growth of the Port Of Savannah, and honored that once again, Cape Romain Contractors has gone A.P.E.!
Look who’s coming to Florida
When Fenton Rigging came to Florida for bridge work on the CSX Railroad, they called A.P.E. to get the job done. Fenton and A.P.E. have a long, successful history together, so with this new venture into FL., they went with the name they trust!
American Piledriving Equipment supplied a D-36 with a hydraulic start, and 80 ft. of leads to drive the 30-inch pipe piles for the bridge re-fit.
American Piledriving Equipment is honored to be the choice for Fenton, and proud that Fenton Rigging continues to go A.P.E.!
Local 1026 goes APE!
American Piledriving Equipment is proud to take an active part in helping to teach our trade. Not only does A.P.E. have it’s own piledriving school, but we supply equipment and supplies to others that wish to teach and learn the art of piledriving. In this case, it was the local 1026 South Florida Carpenters & Pile Driving Union. Many thanks to Frank, Jack, and all the students for making this a success!
Ed Waters & Sons go A.P.E.
When Ed Waters & Sons found themselves in the market for a vibratory hammer, they called American Piledriving Equipment. Having already purchased an A.P.E. D-19, they were used to our quality, and service, which has been an important factor in the many successful projects Ed Waters & Sons is so well known for.
The A.P.E. Model 50 Vibratory Hammer was deliverd on site in Orlando, Florida ready for work. There was some concern among the Pilebucks when it arrived, seems they were expecting something “bigger”. The Model 50 had no trouble driving the 50ft. sheets of PZ-27 in pairs. All doubts were quickly resolved by “the best little hammer” in the industry.
Many thanks to Ed Waters & Sons for going A.P.E….again!
Jordan Pile Driving goes APE…again!
Jordan Pile Driving, one the most respected names in the South, has added another A.P.E. Hammer to the fleet. Having owned an A.P.E. 200 Vibro for several years, and with an A.P.E. Model 250-VM, 150-T, and a 417 on rent, along with several Diesel Hammers, Jordan is no stranger to the A.P.E. product line.
American Piledriving Equipment is proud to be part of Jordan Pile Driving and with the recent purchase of a New A.P.E. Model 150-T Vibratory Hammer and 350 Power Unit, we look forward to this working relationship for many years to come!
APE’s Variable Moment 170 Cuts Vibration Damage
The APE Model 170 VM or variable moment machine with 2200 inch pounds of tungsten loaded eccentric moment was shipped to Savannah,Georgia.
The contractor’s crane operator said the new machine is so smooth off the crane line that he has trouble telling when the machine is on or off.
The new APE Model 170 is lighter and more powerful than any other variable moment machine on the market. It features a phase shifter that also transfers torque to the other two eccentrics, thus eliminating the need for two hydraulic motors. The Model 170 is a larger brother to the APE Model 120 but smaller than the APE Model 250. For more information on the APE variable moment machines please call Wally Brumsey at
